Entry Level Field Operation - Pyrolyzer Operator

GREATER TWIN CITIES, MINNESOTA - FULL TIME

Responsibilities:

  • Operate pyrolyzer, troubleshoot downtime, share insights with operators to enhance system reliability

  • Perform routine maintenance, collaborate with vendors

  • Provide valuable input for design and operational troubleshooting

  • Maintain safe and tidy site, suggest safety improvements

  • Use machinery as needed, record operational data

  • Travel for up to 2 weeks to remote sites
     

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years heavy machinery experience

  • Flexible shifts, potential for overnight work

  • Forklift and equipment operation, or willingness to learn

  • Autonomy in troubleshooting

  • Physically capable, lift up to 50 pounds

  • Proactive, passionate about our mission
     

$20 - $30/hour

Senior Mechanical Engineer

GREATER TWIN CITIES, MINNESOTA - FULL TIME 
 

Seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead scaling efforts for our pyrolyzer system, targeting design enhancements from prototype to commercial grade reactor. Focus areas: biomass metering, reactor performance and design. Collaborate with research and engineering teams. Translate models into reality, aid design reviews, and mentor peers.
 

  • Lead Minneapolis Pyrolysis team, sustaining and scaling pyrolyzer throughput  through enhanced reactor design

  • Design scaled pyrolyzer components using testing data and research models

  • Participate in on-site testing

  • Design, build, and test mockups in collaboration with other departments

  • Contribute to scaling roadmap, shape technology direction.


Requirements:

  • Experienced mechanical engineer

  • Proficient in Solidworks, CAD

  • Familiar with GD&T, fabrication techniques

  • Understanding of electromechanical systems

  • Hands-on project experience, strong communication skills

  • Passion for impactful hardware scaling


Bonus:

  • Chemical process equipment design

  • Thermal systems experience

  • Previous mentorship or management roles

  • Familiarity with solids handling processes.
     

Salary: $90,000 to $115,000/year

Internship - Biomass & Burial Site Identification

REMOTE - TERM BASED

Join our dynamic team as an intern, where you'll play a pivotal role in identifying, documenting, and setting appointments for potential natural biomass sources and pit or mine burial sites across the Midwest United States. This hands-on opportunity will allow you to contribute to our vital mission of sustainable resource management. You'll work closely with our experts to gather data, assess potential sites, and schedule appointments with key stakeholders. This internship is your chance to make a meaningful impact on environmental solutions.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to identify potential low-value natural biomass sources

  • Document detailed findings and site attributes for biomass and burial site prospects

  • Assist in setting appointments with landowners and stakeholders for site assessment

  • Conduct research and compile data to support informed decision-making

  • Participate in site visits and data collection trips as needed

  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve identification and documentation processes

  • Learn and engage in sustainable practices within the environmental field


Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program (Environmental Science, Geography, Biology, etc.)

  • Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable practices

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in data gathering, analysis, and documentation

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about biomass and burial site assessments

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment


Duration: 3 months to 6 months

Location: Remote or Hybrid
 

Compensation: $18/hour
